Why we do the things we do. Daughter born Tuesday.

Short backstory found out the wife was pregnant and has a condition which made the pregnancy high risk.

We go to a specialist that verifys at 20 weeks that the possible side effects to my wife's condition are not a issue in the ultrasound but a major concern of lack of movement from the baby. The specialist fears a condition called arthrogryposis which is a defect that causes multiple contractures to the joints in the body.

Ultrasound verify both feet are clubbed and tucked underneath her body and hands contracted.

Which leads us to countless hours of research doctors visits weekly ultrasounds, where the final conclusion is we are unable to verify exactly what's going to happen when the baby arrives, one form of the defect is pretty much death of the child.

So we prepare for what we can sell the corvette pay off bills etc to adjust to one income.

Baby was delivered Tuesday and both femurs are broke and at least one hip is pulled out of socket.
Past the trama we honestly have about the best case scenario with the condition however still waiting on results from quite a few tests and months for a possible diagnosis for the cause of the condition.

Future holds serial casting surgery etc.

Many of the people that research this condition down to the location my wife is allowed to stay close to the baby is thanks to the donations people make to great organizations like St. Judes.

Doing the research and donating to programs that truly benefit the people that are in need makes all the difference in the world.
