Jake hood stinger install question

Those that have a Stinger decal that you installed, what did you do with the extra length? The Jake one I got is pre-cut and long. It's an OEM part from Trunk Monkey Parts.

I thought the thing would match up perfectly from edge to the hood vent edge, but the whole thing is about an inch longer. Did you wrap half an inch portion over the edge of the hood and the other below the hood vent?

Did you remove the vent?
