The F-35 scores a rare win.

The F-35 has hit another snag — this time because it is just too good

Recently, some pilots of the 34th Fighter Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, set out in their F-35As to Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, to practice evading surface-to-air missiles (SAMs for you civilians).

Well, the training "hit another snag" when the SAM radars couldn't find them! Just to be able to participate in the SAM-evading exercise, they had to turn on their transponders and "...basically told them where we were at and said, 'Hey, try to shoot at us.'"

I'm still not sold on the F-35, but it's nice to finally see some good news on it. The best anti-air defenses of the best air force in the world can't even see the f*ers? That's pretty cool.
