AP Reporter to Obama State Dept: "Am I not speaking English?"

Well - we now know the 'party line' for the defense of this unethical, immoral selling of access to officials for billionaires by criminals in public positions. We have a 'new normal' for standards for public officials and the deplorable shame of it is that, we the people, are so numb to this horrific subversive behavior now there is almost now outrage.

The Clintons have been so rampant in their scandals its now nearly 'business as usual'. This is worse than the Abscam scandal back when the FBI actually did their jobs and went after people and before our country's leaders could bribe or threaten them into silence.

We have devolved into a third world country already so why not elect a corrupt leader to top things off ?

And, glassy-eyed, zombie-like, Pelosi has declared the email hack to be worst than Watergate ? Not even close lady, back then there was a press that would actually investigate matters, a national uproar, impeachment proceedings, etc..

Now we get some 'testy' give and take between a news reporter and a spokeswoman 5 layers down the gov't bureaucratic food chain. Even more amazing in the new environment of social media, online videos, an almost inescapable cyberspace deluge of information in near real-time....there is no groundswell of incensed outrage and a call to action....that I can see.

I'm afraid our democratic model of checks and balances is forever broken at this point as, if you can corrupt enough officials horizontally and vertically across the gov't, spin the media as you wish, use political influence to garner support, and, have legions of followers incapable of critical thought, and, convince the nation that your corrupt actions are actually pro-active statecraft, you can do anything you want.

* Sell access to high-officials that contribute to your sham foundation.
* Launder $400M in taxpayer funds and send it to countries devoted to America's destruction.
* Play so fast-and-loose with national security that people's lives are at risk.
* Allow public servants to be murdered because your avaricious activities keep you too busy to respond to repeated cries for enhanced protection of said public servants.

And, on and on.

There is no longer a moral compass of guiding principles from the top leaders of our nation.
