Could former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling be considering a run for office?

The former ESPN analyst appeared to go on an expletive-filled political rampage after he posted a news link about former California state Representative Leland Yee to his Facebook page on Sunday. Yee, a champion of gun control, was sentenced to five years in prison for accepting bribes and trafficking in arms.

“Can’t get over just how fraudulent the entire party is. From Obama, Clinton to Pelosi and Reid to this [expletive],” Schilling wrote in his post.

The entry garnered more than 40 comments, and several replies from Schilling himself.

“You might be the expert on fraud,” wrote one commenter, referring to Schilling accepting a $75 million deal from Rhode Island to move his video game company there from Massachusetts. Two years later, Schilling’s 38 Studios was in bankruptcy.

“Because? Your dumb [expletive] state offered my company a bond to move there?” Schilling retorted in a reply. “You [expletive] elected and continue to elect inept, corrupt and ignorant public officials? Because I invested 50m of my own money in my company?. . . I get it though. 12 years later and you’re still not over the biggest choke in sports history. Let me help ya out.”

Schilling then posted a picture of his 2004 World Series championship ring.

When another commenter noted it was “too bad you won’t win the upcoming election,” Schilling replied, “I’m not running. . . I am going to run, soon.”

When prodded by another commenter for details, Schilling wrote, “state office first, white house in 8 years. . . or 4 if by some amazing illegal event this country elects another clinton.”

And when yet another commenter criticized Schilling’s post, the former major leaguer responded, “So liberals just really don’t give a [expletive] about truth, at all? Not surprising.”

When one person asked how GOP nominee Donald Trump is “any different,” Schilling replied: ‘Wait what? How is he any different than an anti-gun liberal who smuggles and sells illegal firearms? Let me count the ways you [expletive].”

Schilling at one point appeared to troll yet another commenter, writing that the US media is “liberal, biased and full of [expletive],” and seizing on that commenter’s apparent location in Seattle.

“So ya, you don’t actually live in this country. Seattle is pretty much a canada south, with that awesome min wage law working wonders for employment,” Schilling wrote.
