Removing old weatherstripping adhesive

OK.... I've read every tutorial and walk through out there for the t-top weatherstripping. Is there seriously no better way to remove the original adhesive than working at it 1mm at a time with a plastic razor blade or screw driver? I am letting the 3M adhesive remover soak in for 4-5min before attempting.

Any tricks to doing this? At this rate its gonna take more than a few hours per t-top.
