I remember back in the 60's how great this city was.
What a friggin disaster. May as well be living in Detroit or Gary, IN.
Good thing we have the Toughest Gun laws in the country.
A 10-year-old boy was critically hurt after being shot and at least 16 others were wounded, 7 of them fatally, in shootings since late Monday morning across the city.
The boy was standing on the sidewalk in front of a home in the 3900 block of West Polk Street in the Lawndale neighborhood when he heard gunshots and realized he was struck at 10:18 p.m., according to police.
The boy was shot in the lower-left back, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and is in surgery, according to Langford.
No one was immediately in custody as a result of the shooting.
Other shootings left seven people dead and 9 other people wounded.
