2014 C7 Z51 Auto... Overheating....

Such a love hate relationship with this car.... Was running roughly 75-80 on the highway not driving it hard... Late night, roughly 85 degrees outside.

Pull of the highway and just idling in the parking lot and then all the sudden warning light comes on???? Shut off the car and open the hood... Seems fine since??? Is this normal? Never owned a car that has overheated...
