Best way to shampoo an LS engine?

I have cleaned the LS1 in my 98 a few times.
I used one of the citrus-based motor cleaners that you mix with water
Warm up the motor before you start..
Spray it on and let sit for 15-20 minutes..
Give a light scrub to any problem areas
Finally, LIGHTLY rinse it off with clean water... no need to blast hard.

It worked pretty well for me and no problems.
