Need help on figuring out tranny option

I'm thinking about getting a stock based car for fun and some tracking.

Unless the new Z06 has a significant cooling upgrade I need to consider a used ZR1 or maybe a new GS. Anyway I cant recall for sure what years(I'm thinking 2012 and 2013) had the two tranny options. One more street based and the other more track focused.

Can someone get me straight.
