The only negative thing I've read about the Raybestos pads is that some people have had issues with lockups under braking. I like a strong initial bite and I have a hard time believing I couldn't control lockups with proper pedal modulation... so that doesn't seem like much of a negative to me.
I don't care about dust or noise, and I run cheap blank rotors so I'm not really concerned with rotor friendliness. I just want good reliable stopping power at a good price. On paper, these pads seem to compare very favorably so I'm puzzled why people pay more for the Hawks.
Am I missing something?
