Just as an example, these are the basic instructions for Hawk ceramics, as I remember:
Make 6-to-10 stops from approximately 30-35 MPH applying moderate pressure.
Make an additional 2-to-3 hard stops from approximately 40-45 MPH.....BUT
DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
Drive without using the brakes and allow at least 15 minutes for the brake system to cool down.
After that the new brake pads are ready for use.
I've seen other brands with slightly different but basically the same instructions. You can check some of the popular brake websites to be certain. Have fun.
